Sip Into Summer with Our New Piña Colada Wine Cocktail!

We’re turning up the tropical vibes this July with a brand new creation that’s sunshine in a glass — our Piña Colada Wine Cocktail, made with our light and refreshing Blondy wine! This cocktail is the perfect mix of creamy coconut, juicy pineapple, and the light, peachy charm of our Cayuga and Muscadine blend. It’s sweet, breezy, and made for summer nights on the patio.

Why Blondy?

Blondy is our go-to summer wine — with its soft peach tones and crisp finish, it blends effortlessly into this tropical cocktail, adding just the right amount of brightness and balance to the rich, beachy flavors of a classic piña colada. Think poolside sips, flip flops, and hammock lounging — all bottled up in one cocktail.

Tropical Patio Party — Columbia, TN

Friday, July 18th | 7–9 PM

Join us on the patio for a laid-back evening of tropical fun! Jason Acy will be setting the mood with his signature trop rock tunes while we serve up our Piña Colada Wine Cocktail, exclusively for this event. It’s the perfect way to kick off a summer weekend — island vibes, live music, and a cocktail in hand.

Christmas in July — Centerville, TN

Saturday, July 26th | 4–8 PM

Celebrate the season early at our very first Christmas in July event! We’re bringing festive cheer (and summer warmth) with:

  • Unique local vendors in our yard and event room

  • Mouthwatering eats from Hautewheels Rolling Sandwich Co., including crab cakes!

  • A chance to snap a photo with Santa on vacation — because even he needs a beach day

And of course, our Piña Colada Wine Cocktail will be available to cool you down while you shop, eat, and soak in the summer-y holiday spirit.

Can’t Make It?

We’ll miss you — but don’t worry! If you have a bottle of Blondy at home, you can try whipping up your own tropical wine cocktail. Just mix with some pineapple juice, a splash of coconut cream, and ice. Shake it up, pour, and pretend you’re on island time.

Pina Colada wine cocktail

Piña Colada with Grinder's Switch Winery Blondy

Ingredients
  

  • 5 oz Blondy
  • 4 oz 100% Pineapple Juice or can of Pineapple
  • 1-2 oz Coconut Milk
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 a lime, squeezed
  • 1 oz sprite, to top off
  • 1 piece Cherry and pineapple for garnish optional
  • 1/2 cup ice

Equipment

  • 1 Cocktail Shaker (or blender if you would prefer a blended drink)
  • 1 Cocktail strainer
  • 1 Glass of choice

Method
 

  1. Fill up a glass halfway with ice.
  2. Put the ice in a cocktail shaker (or blender if you want it blended).
  3. Add pineapple juice, coconut milk, simple syrup, Blondy wine, and lime juice.
  4. Shake it all up in the shaker until it's nice and cold. (If you want it blended, blend it all together in the blender).
  5. If using a shaker, strain the blend all into a glass.
  6. Top off with sprite and add a cherry and piece of pineapple for garnish.
