Springer House Events is an elegant outdoor wedding and event venue located in Centerville, Tennessee. This historic plantation home has been owned by seven generations of Springers and has been home to many special occasions.
For the second year in a row, Springer House is hosting the major fundraiser for our local domestic violence shelter and advocacy center, Women Are Safe. Women Are Safe has been providing shelter and support to victims of domestic abuse in Dickson, Lewis, Hickman, Humphreys and Perry counties for over 30 years.
Wine in the Vines
This year in addition to the sit-down, farm-to-table dinner at Springer House, Grinder’s Switch Winery will be kicking the event off with a Wine in the Vines “cocktail” hour before the dinner in their 7 acre vineyard just 7 miles from Springer House. Guests will get the rare opportunity to wander through the vines at their peak ripeness and mingle with the winemaker(and the vineyard manager if we are lucky). Besides getting to hang out with the wine gurus, guests will get to sample from our “tasting stations”from a few local establishments offering one or two signature dishes in bite-size form. Each station will be paired with a different Grinder’s Switch Wine for the full effect. ( Wine will also be available for purchase should you want to take extra to the dinner).

The dinner will end with music by Angie Lasiter and a beautiful, country evening under the stars.
This is a ticketed event and all profits from ticket sales are donated directly to Women Are Safe.

About Women Are Safe
Women Are Safe, Inc. began in 1987 as a volunteer effort to provide shelter and safety to victims of domestic violence in Hickman County, Tennessee. Today, we have eight volunteer board members, an Executive Director, a Program Assistant and four advocates dedicated to our mission of serving the immediate needs of domestic violence victims in five rural Tennessee counties.
Each year we serve hundreds of victims through our core services: a 24-hour confidential crisis line; safe, temporary shelter; court advocacy; transportation; education about the dynamics of domestic violence; support groups; referrals to community resources; and advocacy.
Your donation will be used to provide shelter to domestic abuse victims in Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys, Lewis and Perry Counties, as well as to maintain our Community Education and Outreach.
